Top New York moving company Shleppers Moving & Storage is proud to announce that it was unanimously chosen by the Community Mayors’ Board of Directors to be the recipient of one of our Humanitarian Awards at the 2011 Mayors’ Charity Ball. Accepting the honor on behalf of Shleppers, was Jason Friedland. That same night, Robin Hall of Macy’s received the Dominick Della Rocca Lifetime Achievement Award.
Also receiving Humanitarian Awards were Salvatore Cassano, the Fire Commissioner of New York City, as well as Stephen Brimigion, who has been involved with the organization for many years.
For four years, Shleppers has been helping the Community Mayor’s Association with its annual Christmas toy drive for under privileged children which takes place each year at JFK airport. This year, the annual gala took place at the El Caribe Country Club, 5945 Strictland Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11234 at 6pm.
